before you throw away the heads - shoot them with a 357 - 158 LSWC 15 gr 2400 and standard not magnum primers - now that makes it okay on the reloading forum
haven't found any lake trout nearby - but we do have some pretty good streams with brown trout in the northern counties - they get pretty big - hard to catch though
anyway similar recipe attached since you have the trout
John
I don't want to turn this into a cooking show..........but
If you catch a catfish:
and have some fillets or whole 9-12" body, you might add...
1 Cup bread crumbs (seasoned opt.)
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup Parsley
1 tsp. Paprika
1/2 tsp Oregano, Basil & black pepper
2 tsp salt
1/2 cup melted butter and some lemon wedges (opt.)
Mix dry units in a bowl, dip fish in melted butter, then roll into crumb mix. Place in 9x13 baking dish and cook at 375 for 30 minutes or until flakey.
Just in case there are no trout in your area.
Ok, back to just gun stuff unless you twist my arm with a pm...........
