I posted in the "What guns have you bought lately" thread, but did a test fire today and took a few pictures.
I decided to retire my Winchester M97 12 gauge as the home protection shotgun. I've been looking at pumps with box magazines and the local Rural King had the CIVET in stock, so I bought one last Thursday. It is basically a Chinese copy of the Remington 870, modified for a box mag.
I drove out to the back of my property this afternoon and set up my portable target frame. I fired a few rounds of 2 3/4" #8 shot target loads to check functioning. I fired a Remington slug from 25 yards and it hit about 1 1/2" low. I then fired a 2 3/4" 9 shot 00 buck round from 15 yards. Those pellets also hit about 1 1/2" low and all were in the lower chest/upper stomach area of the target.
