1st time RV buyers. Wife and I have determined that a Class C, 30' or under, fits our intended use. (mostly coast to coast interstate drives from our winter home to a summer home. Two of us and the 50# dog.

Best brands for quality, fewest problems? Worst?

There is an RV forum called IRV2 you should join and peruse. Apparently the QC and responsiveness of far too many manufacturers has gone down a lot in the last few years, so educated shopping is a must. I have a decent idea for a Super C and have been working toward it for a couple of years, including setting up a savings account to have a good-sized down payment and keep loan costs minimal.

Good friend of mine had a class c Nexus Viper. Total disaster. Problem after problem and it was new. They were happy to get rid of it even if they took a loss. They were made in Elkhart Indiana.

I am a FORMER (Thank all the Gods) RV owner. Fleetwood Flair 2016. I can only agree:

If you must RV, RENT do not buy and see a RENTAL COMPANY not a general dealer who will tell any lie to get you to buy.

Who notes RVs are sealed with the cheapest silicon sealant known to man, and the sealing must be repeated several times a year. It will still leak and mildew will drive you out. PS buy all the insurance options on the rental agreement.
