"Classic" smiths

Maybe it's just a generational thing, but I quit buying S&Ws in the late
1980s.
The quality, fit, and finish are just not the same.
But if you want a good representational gun that doesn't cost too much, and shoots as good as the originals then the "Classics" may be the way to go.
I have to admit, that a lot of the older S&Ws are just way over priced. The internet and the rich collectors have killed this hobby for the average guy.

Just buy want you want and be happy with it.

If you focus attention on the manufacturing details, you'll get bummed out.

Try to picture yourself riding the range, six-gun on your belt, hunting zombies...

If S&W has to name it a "classic", then it's NOT!!! If it's a real classic, it gets that name from it's owners, not from some marketing dolt!

LOL! The OP appears to be a newbie, and just in case it was a youngster (somebody younger than me - which is pretty much everybody) I wanted to communicate in terms he might readily relate to.

When I'm at the range I'm always chuckling - as I'm shooting at a 4-up or a B27 (is it?) the people around me are shooting at those $2 zombie targets. As I'm leaving the range one time, one of those kids had a "Zombie Response Team" window sticker. So; sixgun....riding the range...hunting ZOMBIES..."
