Cleaning 340PD cylinder

Every time I clean my 340PD with Hoppes Elite , it gunks up over time in the cylinder and it will not rotate freely.

I wanted to know if there was anything I should know before I remover the cylinder on a 340PD I bought it new in 2022. Do I need to locite the single screw I will be removing after?

I saw people recommend to use a gun smith screw driver with this work for a 340PD. If so I will be buying the " Brownell 3 piece SW screwdriver set" any advice would be appreciated. Thanks again

Using a hollow ground tipped screwdriver is the preferred way to remove the yoke screw.

You might trying re-assembling it without any Loc-Tite, after firmly tightening the screw, & see how well it stays tight.

That will partly depend on how much you shoot it & what loads you use.

If you can't keep it tight without Loc-Tite add a dab of the purple or blue Loc-Tite next time.
