This is a new one for me. I was out with my former Brinks DAO 64-5 yesterday and while shooting saw a a flash from the left side. I went to open the cylinder and there was no thumb piece. I found the thumb piece and after further inspection found that the bolt screw totally sheared off. I tore it down and ordered a bolt off Ebay to replace the broken one. This is the first time I have ever heard of this. I have heard of bolts breaking, but usually on the inside near the angled part, if that makes sense. Oh well, I guess it will get a thorough cleaning.

Ordered a couple bolts off of eBay. The first one will fit with no problem, however, I noticed it is the older style with a the threaded part extending out of a small square block. The other has a slightly different profile, in that the round piece that fits in into the recoil shield is mounted to a triangular piece not square like the original. This one will not drop in as the pin is slightly longer than the original. Before I start filing to fit, I thought I would try a new production bolt. Anyone try this?
