How do you guys clean and store your blued smiths? I've got a nice 27 on the way and i want to keep it in great shape. What should I use to clean the the blued finish? Should it be stored in the presentation case or in a rack in the safe?

A blued Smith is no different than any other blued gun. Clean it with your favorite solvent, run a bronze bore brush through the bbl. & chambers, run patches through until they come out clean, and then lightly lubricate the bbl. & cylinder charge holes with a good quality gun oil. Go over the guns nooks and cranny's with some solvent on an old toothbrush. If you use Remoil or RIG #2 Oil, you can simplify things because those two products will clean, lube and prevent rust.
I store all my guns in their original boxes wrapped in the light brown rust preventative paper after I wipe them down with a thin coat of Remoil or Rig#2. Once every few years I order 3 dozen sheets of the special paper from S&W and use them on all my hand guns (Colts, Brownings, Smiths, what ever) which works very well. They all get stored in my safe, except of course my home defense & carry guns. For LONG TERM storage I remove the grips and coat the entire gun inside & out with a preservative called RIG UNIVERSAL, wrap them in waxed paper and then in Reynolds wrap- as they are a bit messy with the grease. These procedures have worked for me for 40 + years.
