Cleaning Solution

I have been using a product called Slip2000 to clean and lubricate my guns. How does that compare to Hoppes? Is Hoppes better or does Slip2000 work the same way with the same results?

I haven't used Hoppes in many years. MPro7 is what I use to clean all of my Airweights.

I use MPro7 to clean as well, Weapon Shield to lubricate. Don't use Hoppe's or Breakfree CLP any more, either.

Any particular reason you don't use BreakFree for cleaning? It's the only thing I use to clean my 1911. Different metal require different solutions?

M Pro 7 has no scent, and cleans better. I use it to clean steel and polymer.

My version of Ed's Red: 50/50 mix of Kroil and Amsoil synthetic ATF.
