Clip Draw

I was wondering if anyone uses the clip draw and if so, how do you like it?

I use one.with a m38 bodyguard. I like it, with a good belt. Just behind hipbone. Couple years, every day.

I've worn a Ruger LCP with a clip draw for about 3 years now and I really like it. I wear it in the appendix position, 1 o'clock. It is extremely comfortable and literally invisible. The only issue is I live in AZ and in the summer, with the heat and perspiration. I had to have the slide Cerakoted to keep the rust away as I wear if IWB. I've always hated holsters because of the added bulk and this allows me a secure option. Plan on using one for my single stack 9 next.

Several years ago I bought one and put it on my M642. It never stayed securely in place, kept shifting around. I finally took it off and haven't use it since.
It's a good idea, but just didn't work for me.

It's going to depend on your build and your belt, not to mention the pistol.
Many of the nays I heard just didn't happen with me, and I have an "active lifestyle", do a lot of hopping in and out of cars, boats, airplanes.

I don't like any method of carry that doesn't completely cover the trigger, when the gun's on my body.

Until recently, that and similar products were illegal to use while in a vehicle in Ohio. When on the body, a holster was required. I still wouldn't use one.

Been using one on my Kimber .45 for about 10 years now. Love it!

I had one on a Taurus PT140 many years ago and it fell off. I've never trusted that carry method since.

I get the heebiejeebies when I look at the tape ones. The j frame one attaches securely, and as long as I snug up the belt (alot) it stays secure enough. One thing though, it's far better if you're a bit fat. I don't have enough meat around my middle to have anything pushing out on the gun from the inside, and as such I have to snug my belt down to rather uncomfortable levels. That said, it conceals far easier than any holster option I've used.

I don't like the idea of the tape on system either, even though I tested that tape pretty rigerous. Great stuff, but I carry a J frame snub anyway, and it doesn't fall off. I weigh in at 155, 5'9" my model 38 fits right in a dent behind my hip bone, 4:00, and just about disappears. The hump on the bodyguard also helps keep movement down to nothing. Very handy when I can't carry OWB.
