The Zeiss Terra 3-9 power variable scope with a 42mm objective was designed by Zeiss and manufactured in Japan by a Zeiss subsidiary.
The scope tube shows marks from mounting/dismounting. I've had it on two rifles that only went to the range. The American Rifleman test of this scope showed outstanding optics.

The reticle is the RS6 for standard center fire cartridges.
