So, i recently became reaquainted with a set of revolvers that my grandfather had, that i had stored in Wisconsin. Model(s) 32-1 14-2 15-2 and 36.
In a drawer for about 45 years(ish)

if the link works its a pile of pictures of what i have, and i swear he bought these and basically put them in a drawer in the late 60's early 70's and they have been there since basically november.

Yes there is also a pre-war Colt Woodsman that looks brand new.

been fun to shoot a little so far. And i dont think there is any bluing missingfrom any of them aside from the slight cylinder ring. Thoughts? i believe tehy are 1964? he bought them new (as well as the 1936 Colt)

Those are some beauties! Your grandfather had good taste! Take care of them, take to the range every now and then, keep them out of a holster and they'll stay in great shape. Shoot that Colt too. I've been shooting a lot of years and have never dropped a gun, so I wouldn't worry about that.

when i try the colt it goes from handmade gun bootie to hand then rests n outside of booty until cleaning.. the hardest surface that chassis has touched, is the cardboard from its original box.

Yes, that second link works fine. The Woodsman is from 1936 and in beautiful condition as are the revolvers. I have one in close to the same condition from 1940 but without the box/papers. You didn't ask, but I think the value of your package would be about $2,000. It won't hurt it to shoot it some but well used ones are available at considerably less cost so I'd probably acquire one of those and not shoot that pristine one. Just me, lots of folks on this forum would shoot it and not worry about it. I'm guessing not all the numbers are showing up of the serial numbers of the 15-2 and 14-2; I think 1964 would be correct. The 36 is probably from about the same timeframe. All very nice, enjoy.

Click on the Icloud Sharing link i have the Serial number for 3 of them there i think the 32-1 is missing. Both large pieces have a K88 serial number which makes me think he went into the store and said give me That.. that , and a couple of those snub noses lol.

Still can't figure out why he bought 2 different snub noses. My Uncle knew the name of the gun store that is no longer there where he bought them in Chicago.

The Woodsman, I am interested in for Plinking.. cans and what not, but not at an abusive rate, as you can see it never got dropped either. I think maybe he grew up appreciating what he was able to afford.. maybe a little too much, i guess he also collected and traded tiffany lamps, and he loved his persian rugs, so now as I'm typing this it all seems to make sense
