just received my cmc flat drop in trigger today for my m&p 10 this is my second cmc trigger and I noticed that the trigger pins are threaded on both ends inside the pin and have screws that thread in them instead of c clips is this new for cmc my other trigger does not have this.:)

New Pin style?

I just ordered a CMC trigger for an AR build. I went to the CMC site and can't find any info on these new pins--the on-line instructions still mention the c-clips. Can't wait to see what I get.

The c-clip pins have not been an issue for me.

I installed the trigger in my M&P 10 after removing the ambi bolt release --has anyone cut down the trigger housing to allow the ambi release to fit?

You don't have to remove the bolt release to install the trigger group. Press the bolt release to get it out of the way as you put the parts in place. Trigger installation is made much easier if you use a slave pin to hold the trigger & disconnecter together

I made a post in a similar thread discussing these triggers. Unfortunately, while you may not have to remove the bolt release, you do have to dremel out some of the metal housing that surrounds the trigger mechanism. These triggers are great but don't act as drop-ins on the M&P10, which is unfortunate.

Also, I talked to CMC rep locally at the gun shop and if you buy one of the new triggers and it has the c-clips, just call them and explain you just bought this and that you understand the newer versions have the screw ends. They will likely send you a set at no cost. No guarantees though.

Hope this helps.
