I got he AFG2 from Bass Pro for about 35 bucks, Cobra grip was 30 with shipping.

Thanks. It looks more like the original AFG, rather than the AFG2.

I went back to the afg2 right away. The Cobra grip was a good idea, but I had a few major issues with it.

I like the look of it and want to try one. My supplier will begetting them in soon. I want to mess with it before I buy it though.

I'm the same way. I need to feel and play with one first. I'm still old school on some things.
I put the Cobra grip on my rifle. I was not interested in a vertical grip.
Overall i am happy with it. It is easier to find a more comfortable hold on the stock. Also put a rubber buttpad on it since I did not like the bare plastic.

Does anyone have any complaints yet?
I ditched the one that I ordered just to try out. The cross-bolt and nut protruded too much when tightened down, and was in the way for a left handed shooter like myself. It had sharp mold marks down the center of the grip surface, and the overall length was about an inch too short.
If they ever make improvements, I'll try another. I like the multiple hold styles.

Going to go try it out today. Had to take a razor to those mold lines right out the box
