632 UC. I haven't shot it yet but timing, barrel alignment, overall fit and finish seem very good.

That's Nickel right? looks a lot like SS in this photo. Here's my model 36 No Dash, carried in Uncle Mike's pocket holster and loaded with Underwood 150gr Wadcutters
That's how mine started out. But, I didn't much like the hard G-10 grips or the contrasting, black, small part accents. So, …632 UC. I haven't shot it yet but timing, barrel alignment, overall fit and finish seem very good.

My only engraved guns, happen to be J frames. The 640 is very near and dear to me. The engraver was a resident of my hometown. I went through grammar and high school with his grandchildren but at that young age, I knew nothing of his talents.

Here is my 1970 Model 37 .38 Spl. 2". Carried as my main defense weapon for the last 55 years. Not pretty....but it served me well. And once a year....it get fired up. Its on my CCW all that time. Had it since I was a Smith & Wesson Law Enforcement Distributor back then. My in-house gunsmith did the action job and bobbed the hammer.....DA only. I carry Hydra-shock ammunition in it. And put snake-shot in it....when we are our prospecting. We were selling Model 29's for $129 back in 1970.I'm craving some gun porn of your J frames. Show me some pics and tell me some stories.
