Coke Bottle (Grip) Restoration, thanks DWFan!

do restored stocks on a gun hurt the value of the gun ?

Well, that's a loaded question...usually a gun that needs grip restoration is not in very good shape as well. You do not find mint stocks on an 85% gun unless they were taken off and replaced with another pair of stocks.

If you restore a pair of 1978 K Magna grips, you'll never get you're money back. You are putting more into them than they are worth. A restored pair of Cokes just brought $568 on eBay. So, a restoration of Paul's quality is warranted and justified. Only some stocks are worth saving.

One thing I've always prided myself on was the fact that if your stocks were not worth saving I would tell you that and not just take your money. Value is also subjective on your part. Was it your fathers or grandfathers gun? Numbered to the gun? Hard to find stocks? I just sold a pair of restored Cokes on Ebay last month for $720. I did disclose that they were restored. Value is up to the client most times. I can only advise what I think is fair to you and let you decide. I would never exploit anyone just to make a dollar.
