Cokes question?

My coke style grips have a break on the left grip by the frame. It blew out when shooting Magnums. Don't have the little piece. My question is "how much does this affect the value of them?" The value on Ebay's site make me think of selling them. No pics Sorry. Just curious what some of you think cause I know they can be fixed just not by me. SAveourguns

OK, I'll be "Mr. Obvious" - you should have sold them before you broke them.
(if that's what you were going to do)

I'd say a broken set <span class="ev_code_RED">might</span> bring 50%

He said he didn't have the piece that went missing. No way would they bring 50% (given current prices for cokes). Maybe 25%?

In an auction setting, you could have two grip restorers fighting over them that both have boxes of junker S&W wood scraps

saveourguns, your grips can be repaired, I've done a couple of pairs and I'm sure forum member DW has also. Most cokes end up with at least a little chip gone where the heel of the frame contacts the wood. It usually requires that the grips be refinished also. Sometimes the match works so well I forget which side I replaced, other times not quite as good but you still have to look for it. The original piece is not important so don't worry to much about that. If you would like to email me and talk about it please feel free.
