I'll go out on a limb and predict that an SEC team will play for the National Championship-I hope it's LSU-but any SEC team will do.

Not that it means much at this point but I see that the coaches have Oklahoma as the preseason #1. They are followed by Bama, Oregon, LSU, FSU, Stanford, Boise St, Okie St, Texas A&M and Wisconson.

I'm looking forward to see how Nebraska fairs in the Big Ten. Along with Wisconsin being the power team, maybe Michigan State will also do well. My home team Buckeyes could look ugly. I suppose they deserve any and all negatives...they got caught. But, with no seasoned QB, the offense will probably struggle to stay competitive.

I'll tell about the SEC. The Gators are picked 23rd. My morning newspaper's take, "Gators start low". We played 9 teams bowl teams last year. Eight SEC teams are listed higher than us this year. We play eight 2010 bowl teams this year, three in the top five.

Second year for our Bulls new head coach... UF fans last year and I predict Notre Dame fans this year can be thankful for that... As with the "big" games last season, this year Skip will figure out how to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with horrible play calling, mismanagement of talent and just downright coaching our boys to "play dirty".
Sorry Buckeyechuck but the Ohio State game is a near religous event at my house. We have everyone over tons of food and lots of fist shaking whenever the Buckeyes do something good. If I ever get a chance to get to the Badgers Buckeyes game Ill let u know.
My Hawkeyes aren't going to get much respect this year, and probably deservingly so. That's fine by me, the Hawks always seem to play better when flying under the radar. Two years ago they were predicted pre-season to be in the lower half of the Big Ten. They only ended up 10-2 with a BCS win that year. Then they fall apart last year amid internal player issues. The Hawks always seem to make it exciting. I think the average margin of victory (regardless of the winner) over the past 3 years is less than 7 points. Only time will tell. I can't wait.
My only issue with the new Big Ten is I wish the Hawks were guaranteed a game with Wisconsin every year. Those games are always a blast regardless of what side your on. I even enjoy making it to Camp Randall every once in awhile.

Naturally, I hope there is much fist-shaking. The Badgers were one of two teams to consistently beat the Sweatervest during his tenure at Ohio State. (The other was Illinois.) The game in Columbus this year is a "must win" for Ohio State if they wish to go to the Big Ten title game, a trip which I would offer odds on were Terrelle Pryor still the QB. But he's not, and I won't.
Every Ohio State game is a religious event. I still can't believe I'm going to miss a home game this year for a *wedding*. Somebody's not even dead, and I'm going to miss a game. The friend getting married is foreign (Bulgarian) and he's told me he understands that it's a big deal for me to attend in lieu of the game.
There is one game on the Ohio State schedule which is the holiest of all holy days. And it ain't Wisconsin...

Hmmmm.... how should I say this? BOOMER SOONERS! Class of '73. Then again, being ranked Numero Uno paints a big target on our backs. It'll be a good season of collegiate football.
