they look a lot better than the way Braniff painted their airplanes. you do remember Braniff don't you?

I did like flying with Braniff when I was in the Air Force in that they would upgrade my ticket at the gate and put me in first class section. United was the only other airline that did that

I don't think that looks good at all.....

...but I do like to see planes with a colorful paint job, hopefully matching the lines of the plane. It's funny, I also like the old 'silver bird' no-paint look for older planes.

I thought...

You were going to go this way instead.

Steveno's video takes me back to 1968/69. I worked for the Boeing Airplane Company in Seattle. I worked in a machine shop that happened to be next to the paint hanger for the then new 737's. A brand new, freshly painted airliner is a thing of beauty; an actual sight to behold. The planes for Aloha Airlines were particularly colorful - they were AMAZING!

Those are the wildest paint schemes I've ever seen on WWII aircraft.
I gave YOU a like, not the planes, though

Getting Bomb Groups together in the very early morning in England
and often in foggy conditions was very Challenging

Most if not all had an "Assembly Ship" Painted so the group's bombers
couldn't miss it and would "Form up" on it into their "Combat Boxes"
