Colt 1911 No. 256102

There have been some really nice 1911 pistols posted recently, so I thought I might jump in with one of mine.

Here's Colt No. 256102. It dates to 1918 and has the "brushed blue" finish, which came prior to the "Black Army" finish. Its holster is a Hoyt dated 1918.

This old fellow is all original and has survived the century quite well. Enjoy!

Cool gun! I was just shooting a 1911 today, 284422, similar vintage. 102 years old. History, beauty, ingenuity, great fun.
