Colt Agent

While making my rounds, I spotted this well seasoned Colt Agent. Snows lots of holster wear on the aluminum frame, but she’s mechanically solid and the Diamondback grips are perfect. Knowing the grips go for about $200, it made the my decision to drop $395 that much easier. It also came with the original service grips and Tyler T. Still got a little left over to buy some Aluma-Hyde.

Well worth the money, imo.
I wouldn't bother with trying to pretty it up, besides most
of the wear isn't on the alloy frame.

I bought an Agent from the 1960's years ago. The frame eventually cracked in the usual spot just below the barrel after maybe 300-400 rounds after it came into my possession. I never fired anything but standard pressure cast bullet handloads. I did not know the history of the gun, but it was tight and locked up as it should.

Another Agent from the same era was fine and never cracked. Same for a 1957 Cobra I had for many years. While others may shoot +P ammo in these guns, I'd never consider it. Look how thin that aluminum is under the barrel, just like S&W alloy-framed J frame guns.
