Interesting news, guess that means that Colt, under CZ ownership, will continue to produce revolvers. Colt will now have Pythons in 3, 4.25, and 6 inch barrel lengths. That's a good range for the big Colt revolver.
When they first hit the gunstores and on line auctions, get ready to pay at least $400-$500 over retail and probably more. I refuse to pay over retail. They did it with the new Python when first available and will do so again with this new barrel length. Will have to wait 6 months or more before they come down close to retail. Pythons are nice guns and I have had several over the years but I believe a 686 is much better.
CZ/Colt will quickly sell every one they can make for the foreseeable future. But getting one at MSRP will take a year (or more) after they hit the shelves.
Has Colt actually announced this gun? I don’t see it on their site.
I have seen the photos of two 3” guns from their Custom Shop with patridge sights on another forum. They were done as a special deal for someone. They weren’t production guns.
