Just bopught a Colt competition modelin 45 acp. Wondering if anyone has any experience with these guns? The trigger seems to be as good as any 1911 that i have,Have not had a chance to shoot it yet.The only thing have done is replace the G10grips that came on it. Any body have good or bad comments on this mode l? Looks like CZ will be helping restore the COLT products & name if this is an undication of what
they will produce.

I own 2. One stainless and one blued. Both in 9mm. I think they are fantastic pistols and both have been flawless with my handloads. The dual recoil spring makes them soft shooting. I like the G10 grips. I replaced the blue fibre optic rods that came with both of mine in the front sight with the red rods that were included with the pistols.

I bought a stainless one for my son a few years ago, prior to CZ ownership and it’s quite accurate and the quality is great. Completely reliable from the first shot.
CZ is not involved in the day to day operations at Colt. I know there’s been a lot of whining about QC but I’ve never had any concerns.
Buy Colts with confidence.

I own a stainless .38 Super Competition, goes to the range with me almost every trip. It’s one of my favorites. A friend has the stainless .45 Competition, he’s very happy with it. I’ve shot it a few times, no complaints. Only changes either of us made was the grips. My buddy opted for Series 70 grips from Nutmeg, I went with ebony grips from Wood Caliber.

The Colt Competion's are some of the best Gov't models going these days. Just a few extras over the basic models but, only those needed. I bet you're going to be very pleased.

I've not had one complaint with the .45, .38super or 9mm stainless models. The blue VZ stocks don't even bother me really, as they work with the stainless models. If I had the blued guns, I'd likely swap those out.

Anyway, I've found them to be very accurate, reliable and just a pleasure to shoot.
