Colt Forum

The Colt Forum is strictly Colts. The lounge is almost strictly Colt. It's like being in a library. Nothing wrong with that mind you. I'm a member there.

This place is a little more laid back. You can open a beer here and do your thing.

Do any of you (of us) also use the c**t forum? I tried to register but no luck.

Ha, that would only appear like that if the two letters in the middle are an u and n

Not sure why the Colt forum wouldn't work though. I'm there from time to time and it always worked...

Regarding the foam issue I think you got pretty good advice here.

If you are bogus bill. I read you have colt shipped oct31 1906 to the copper queen mining co. In bisbee AZ. I too have that same colt info for my colt.one of 3 colts on that shippment ..what are the chances ..just have to locate the 3rd gun..cheers dave Vancouver Canada .my gun was found inside of a wall .loaded.of a 80 to 90 year old house.

I belong to several forums.

The Ruger Forum is the most political and the most intolerant (i.e. "Rude") if you disagree with ultra-conservative. There is no middle-road over there. They brook no disagreement. It is fun to ruffle their feathers sometimes, though.

The S & W is "middle-of-the-road" and most enjoyable. We get some healthy discussions here (a few get heated) but we generally treat each other with respect. Many interesting and diverse topics, also.

The Colt forum is more informative on all things Colt. More "high-brow" and very much into historical facts. Limited on other issues. You do have to choose carefully WHERE you post. Your question would likely be best posted under "Revolvers". There are several guys who make cases over there.

Regarding the foam: There are several places I've seen on the net who have the "pick-n-pluck" type of foam inserts. Sorry= can't remember where.

I've been a member of Colt forum for a year. But I only have one Colt so don't post much. I've found them helpful, but agree with the person who said that it sometimes takes a while to get a response to a question.

That said, there are some really knowledgeable people there and I've gotten very good info from my questions.

The friendliest forum of all is marlinowners.com. I post quite a bit there as I really like collecting Marlin lever actions.

And they tolerate my bad jokes which sometimes get deleted here.

I generally stay away from politics on all forums.
