I didn't want to hijack the thread in Antiques about factory letters, so I thought I would ask my question over here…..
So, other than being expensive, what could I expect from a Colt letter? Just more distributor info or what??
I have a New Army & Navy M1892 that someone over on the Colt Forum said was the 310th civilian version made of that model. (Serial # 10,310. Supposedly the civilians started at 10,000) They also said that it had not been “updated” to the later versions. I’m wondering if it’s worth a letter or not.
The gun is nice and tight, good bore and probably 50-60% finish.
