Going to look at a Colt Police Positive .32 tomorrow. Guy says it's in great shape, just a little holster wear. Asking $325. Hoping to get it for $275. Assuming good condition, what is a reasonable price?

It's from an individual, so no tax. From what I can tell looking at the auction sites, that's a good price. Will gladly pay the $325.

I can remember buying those for around $200 those days are long gone. Just about any gun with the Colt name on it is going to be above $300. If the guy won't budge on price pay the man, and be on your way...

I gave $400. for a 4 in. .38 Spec. a few months ago. It's a 1933 and mechanically like it just came from the factory but it hasn't been stored that good but still not too bad. I've been wanting one for years and since it is great mechanically I wasn't going too let it pass. I think they are great carry pistols. Larry

I paid $550 for this 1924 .32 Police Positive several years ago and was happy to get it. I’m still happy to have it. ( I already had the Heiser IWB holster etched .32 PP on the back )
If yours has some holster wear you’ll enjoy shooting it.

Regards,
Probably better than anything you could buy new today for $550.

Here she is! Even came with a Tyler T-grip. Has some bluing wear, but not bad for $300. According to what I looked up online, it dates to 1923.
