Should I send this to Turnbull's? WD-40 clean it up OK? Looks like somebody's fishing trip on Cahaba River got wet years ago.
(3rd series, maybe Huntsman, based on small front sight?)

Update- As Requested below, Story of this Colt 22 in Post #18 :D

That does look like my Colt Challenger. Well, probably used to look how my Challenger looks today...

Soak it in Ed's Red for a few months and see what happens

I would enjoy hearing how you came to acquire this gun, if you care to share.

It's a long one, so a few questions answered first...

I don't think it's a Challenger. While they did have the butt release, it is different from the one on this one and other 3rd series Woodsmans. I still think late model Huntsman.

"As Is"? Yep, but I should have got a tetanus shot included in the deal.
"Lifetime warranty"? Maybe, but this one's life expired when it drowned.
Thanks for the helpful tips! :D

Now, the rest of the story-
Well, back in the 70's Burt and Elvis were canoeing down the Cahaba River on a fishing trip. Elvis heard Banjo music and wanted to stop, cause he liked music, butt Burt said that was a BAAAD idea. They kept fishing and Burt got hung up in a tree. When they went over to unhook it, a snake fell in and Elvis starting shooting at it with his Woodsman. Burt got mad at him for shooting holes in his canoe and threw his Woodsman in the river...........Or, maybe.......... It was Uncle Guido's from New Jersey. He must have dropped it when I helped him dig that hole for the stinky rolled up rug he had in his trunk...........There it sat for 40+ years until a scuba diver who likes to metal detect found it and gave it to a friend. He then gave it to me.

I Gare Ron Tee dat sum part dis hol story be true! :D
