We are inundated with calls for more Gun Control from many directions with much coming from TV reporters. We talk and write to each other about the situation but many never call or write their elected officials, call their media outlets or write to their newspapers.
For those of you that have access to the Oklahoman newspapers, if you will look the Oklahoman dated 8-3-12 Opinion page under Your Views, you will see five pro 2nd Amend. articles. Each one is different but all speak to points that need to be made to the general public. In my opinion, when someone reads something in print, it provokes more thought and is more effective than something said by a talking head on TV. We are at a point when we must be pro-active in our fight and must use every avenue available. Most of you have newspapers in your area and most have areas like an Opinion page. Please consider using them.
I have written letters to the newspapers for years and I know that method of communicating with the public is effective because of the responses that I have received.
