Compact or Full size carry?

My criteria is to carry what I can practice with .....A lot. I don't need 17 rounds but I'm not against having them either. I normally carry a G19 or HK P2000 40s&w

It's all a matter of opinion and preference. I am a 69 year old every day CHL carrier who has settled on three options these days. Full size Series 70 Colt 1911, M&P 45C, and 340PD being the smallest of the bunch. Living in Texas means a lot of 340PD carry when it's hot.

My EDC is a Shield 9. It's what I'm used to, practice with, and comfortable with in hot or cold and/or coat or t-shirt. My FS 9 is for once in a blue moon carry in the winter (to be honest not even sure why I carry it when I do in the winter time. Maybe because I can? Who knows.). I use the FS 9 for home defense primarily. I'm a tall guy to boot at 6'4" 210 lbs. YMMV. Good luck!

I carry my m&p40c regularly with a full size barrel, slide, and mag.
