The MBH and I both have the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 v1.0. We purchased them from Amazon 9 years ago for under $30.00 ea, and they still work well.
The MBH whacks the keys rather hard and has worn a few of the letters off, but no big deal. They are very easy on the wrists and along with a trackball I really like mine. It's ugly, needs some TLC, but it works.
Anybody else use one?
The point of this long winded introduction is that I want another one for my Linux "music" computer. Amazon still carries them, but the price has gone up quite a bit, from $109.00 to $400.00 each. Can you believe that?
I have to get permits renewed tomorrow, and I am going by the thrift store afterwards on the outside chance that they have one. Ebay has them, but it's like buying a pig in a poke. Somebody is selling individual keys for them for 8 bucks each.
I guess I should just sell the parts from them and buy me another Smith.
Just a minor rant.
