Will the silver/black grips at the bottom of this page fit? They look good for control to me...and sorta like the grips on a model 57..which i love!

My vote would go to "none of the above." Rubber is too grabby on clothing, and most of the grips shown are pretty big for concealment purposes. I keep Spegel Boot Grips on the N-frames I occasionally carry concealed. They aren't great for recoil control, but they conceal well and feel great. Besides, I keep pretty light-recoiling loads in my 3-incher and Mountain Guns unless I'm out hunting somewhere and carrying openly, and then I switch to heavy loads and Pachmayrs.

It's really easy to swap grips. Just undo the screw and remove the old and put on the new.

For recoil a rubber grip would be the best. For CC wood would conceal better as wood will slide and not bunch up against your shirt.

The grips on the bottom are for a round but to make it look like a Square but. Is your model 28 a Round But?

Even though some folks consider rubber too grabby for CC, I do not find that is the case for me. I carry IWB with just a light shirt due to the year round weather here in central FL.

I just picked up a 2010 629PC that comes with some great wood boot grips. For me, I just couldn't get a secure hold so I went with the Pachmayr Compact grips for N-frames. They don't add too much bulk and provide me with a better grip. I have not found the rubber to cause my cover shirt to grab or stick.

My vote goes to Ahrend grips. Here are his tactical finger groove on my 625...

and his Boot grip on my 24-3...

Of the two, I like the tactical finger groove the most.

You can see his grips here...

Whatever maker you choose, I suggest wood for concealment. Rubber can cause "clinging" problems.
