Yes, I carry a 1966 10-5, 4" at around a 11 O'clock position with a soft leather IWB holster, on a short trip, not for all day, the 4" barrel will get you a little bit when you sit down with a 11, or 1 O'clock carry, a 3" barrel may be okay when you sit down, I don't have a 3" to try, I carry a 637 2" on longer trips, good luck..

Does anyone here conceal carry a 4 inch K frame anymore? I have an AKJ Concealco IWB holster on order for my Model 10. I’m going to give it a try once again. Can’t be anymore difficult than carrying a 4 or 5 inch 1911.

I have that same holster for a 4" K frame, which I got from the original maker long ago. Carrying a 4" revolver IWB is not a problem. IMO, the only issue that might arise is discomfort while you're driving, and that depends on how the holster fits on you and the construction of your vehicle's driver seat.

I bought a holster from Andrew many years back. I did not realize that he had passed away. I’m glad to see that Legion Leather is keeping the design alive. I haven’t carried a 4 inch revolver in years either. I’ve since discovered the value of dressing around your firearm. I wear Wrangler flex waist jeans and a quality belt (Kore ratchet belt). I’m hoping that the combination of a good holster, belt and jeans will be a winning combination for carrying a 4 inch revolver.

I don't EDC a K-frame, but I do often carry an L-frame that's about the same size. It's a 3" Model 686 Plus, and I carry it in a 1791 Gunleather OWB holster under an untucked button-up shirt. When driving distances, I often carry an N-frame...a 2-5/8" Model 627-5 in a leather crossdraw holster. However, usually for EDC I'll carry a smaller J-frame (Model 642-2) or M&P Shield Plus 9mm in a pocket holster.

must be smoking them funny smellin' tiny cigarettes. :D

Another consideration with barrel length and CCW is how far up you have to pull the handgun in order to get the barrel to clear the top of the holster. That, too, can be important for those of us who have short chests.

I would guess an IWB holster would be better to conceal a 4” K frame, unless you’re wearing a long cover garment all the time. The grip frame with larger stocks would be difficult to hide.

I remember plain clothes State Troopers with 4 in. Mod. 10s in OWB holsters, under their suit coats. That was in '83.

The typical impediment for concealing a K frame is the square butt and big grips; my M66 was round butted by BMCM. I have relatively small hands for a 6'+ male (thanks mom), so the RB is a good for for me. The many variables in our bodies can make a big difference in what we can carry discretely.

I did, model 19-4 4 inch in a custom pancake holster at about 4 o'clock... worked great under a baggy sweatshirt... went semi-auto a long time ago.. like my 19 too much for edc now..

I carried a 4” Model 19-7 concealed under a suit coat for several years early in my career. It concealed just fine that way. These days I carry a 3” 65-3, but I sometimes think about going back to the 19-7 for the final couple of years before my pension.

I have an older Lobo Leather ISP with rear sight "ears" that will make a adj. sighted K flat disappear with wearer comfort. For times when "disappeared" can be replaced with "mostly hid", I have a thumbbreak DeSantis OWB. Both are comfortable strongside rigs that I carry at about 4 o'clock.
