concealed carry

A suit coat, sport coat...any coat and I carry OWB... in fact I carry OWB only. Not a problem. All that said, if, you need to remove said "coat" there are a lot of tuckable IWB's out there. I am certain there is one for you.

Don't worry, most people, are too busy inside their own little world to notice a bump here or there.

Relax and press on. You will be fine. Trust me. I have been there as well as most here.

I know it is obvious, but when shopping for work clothes (if dress clothes), ensure you take your carry choice and holster. I retired from the Army in June and went from camos to dress clothes! I took my Shield and IWB with me when I was fitted (Mens Warehouse) for my suits, pants, and shirts. I was really surprised that I needed to go out two pants sizes to ensure I could fit the gun (I tried both AIWB and IWB) a good fit.

I've never tried ankle...I wear dress shoes - not boots...but I may try a J-frame one day. Must train to fight that method, again, I have zero experience in that method.

Good luck and welcome to the fold

Yes...since I initiated this post I got a Remora - best IWB holster I've had..just put your gun in it, and you can put it in any carry position you wish and it will stay there & draw is fine. I recommend the black extra plush lining for interior of holster. It does not print at all.

just passed cwp....question- how do you conceal carry if you are wearing a shirt that must be tucked in- as in wearing a coat and tie. If the gun is inside waist band won't it still show if shirt is tucked in-how would you conceal it?

That's easy..... stick a M&P bodyguard .380 in a desantis nemesis pocket holster & slip it in your back pocket.

I am new to the forum so I may be off base here. I have to tuck in my shirt. I found a pocket carry holster that may work for folks, it works for me. It is called a BORAII (Bill of Rights Amendment II). Has anyone else used this holster? If so, did it work for you?

I carry concealed with Alien Gear 3.0 tuck-able. I'm not completely happy wearing a holster tucked under the shirt. It does completely conceal and feels great, but can slow down your reaction time if in a defense situation. Here usually only during the hot season. Otherwise I wear a jacket or a light vest. If you check out Haband.com they usually have a variety of vests. I like them in particular since they have many pockets, for your ID, wallet, permit, cellphone and keys. I have about 6 different vests, from light to heavier. You can also carry an extra magazine on your belt. out of sight. I carry IWB, cross draw, SW MP .40 Shield.

my preferred carry is in a Wright OW leather holster and a 5.11 Covert vest. Living in the West it is a natural look and can dress this way about 10 months out of the year. Otherwise it is pocket carry. The Covert does not shout "Tactical".....very nice vests with concealed pockets as well as side pockets. They beat Scotte vests hands down [my opinion].
