Confused over 19-4

Were these available as recessed ONLY, with no pinned barrel?

I seem to have found one that, from the pictures, sure looks like it.

Welcome to the Forum. This was likely one of the later 19-4s, as the -5 was unpinned and unrecessed, and so-called transitional guns with one feature or the other are seen. The factory hates to waste parts .

Yup, happened around 1982 when the made the change from pinnned to not pinned.
