Quote from NRA press release:
NRA-supported HB 1092, introduced by state Representative Kevin Priola (R-30), would allow for the lawful carrying of a concealed firearm without the necessity of a state-issued concealed handgun permit. This bill would also provide for the legal and lawful carry of firearms on college and university campuses as well. HB 1092 would not repeal the current concealed handgun permitting system because state reciprocity and the lawful transportation of a concealed firearm in reciprocal states is a key element in this process.
***
I read this to say that a license will not be required to conceal carry if this bill passes BUT this bill would not repeal the current law requiring a license. Huh ? SO, if someone wanted to start conceal carry they would not have to get a license to do this in CO but if they wanted to carry in another state that honored the CO law that required a license they would have to get a license.
Anybody, help me with this.
