Citing 2A rights and the right to defend oneself a congressman has introduced legislation to allow members of Congress to carry anywhere in the US except the Capitol Building. He cited that they were targets and had to have the right to defend themselves anywhere. Guess We the People don't matter because only members of Congress are in danger of assault. Ludicrous.

Armed American Radio with Mark Walters will have Rep. Barry Loudermilk on his show today from 4-5pm to discuss this issue. He's my congressman and I have already expressed my displeasure with his elitist approach. Simply pass HR38 and give reciprocity to everyone, including in DC, and there is no need for special rights for congresscritters.

It is both elitism and discrimination. The elitism flows from the fact that the sponsors of the bill obviously consider congresspersons to be special people. The discrimination flows from the fact that they have acted on the basis of elitism and by doing so have excluded all others.

They just don't get it. All Americans have targets on there backs to international and domestic terrorists. The Washington and Hollywood elites are so far removed from the real world they have no clue what things are like on the streets.
