New 629 Mountain Gun

I have just under 150 rounds of 44 mag on mine so far. I love the grips, and honestly prefer shooting it with magnums over my 6" 29 with target grips. Accuracy has been OK, but part of that has been using factory hardcast bullets instead of my own cast stuff. When I bought it, my LGS had to send it back to Smith because they found the barrel bulged when it arrived. Smith got it back to them in two weeks and I have had no other issues. The only thing that annoys me is that my rear sight is adjusted all the way to the right to get a center POA, but that seems to be a common theme with the modern ones. My 27-9 has to have the rear sight adjusted all the way to the left. Im sure that is an easy fix if I had a gunsmith turn the barrel a bit.
Mine is a bit to the right too. I just put an orange FO front sight on it. It is quite a bit shorter. It will not look as classic as the bead. I will get to the range and check it out.
