Considering a 2nd Revolver....15-6 or 27-2

I'd say that you really should go to a shop that offers a variety of revolvers, and familiarize yourself with the various frame sizes at the very least before you decide what direction to go. Preferences are going to vary wildly from one person to the next, and only you can decide what particular models work best for you.

I own both N frame, and K frame Smith & Wesson revolvers, and I see them as being entirely different tools for different tasks. For me, the N frame is a gun that is really at its best when equipped with a 6 inch or longer barrel, and is best suited for use as a target gun or a hunting gun. Granted, it is only my opinion, but I don't see the .357 Magnum as a good fit for an N frame, and prefer them in the .41 or .44 Magnum variety. When chambered for one of those cartridges, the 6 inch N frame can be a remarkably accurate shooter, and is very capable of taking just about any game animal you might ever want to pursue with a handgun. And while the .357 Magnum can be used for those purposes, I see it more as a defensive cartridge for use against 2 legged predators.

The K frame on the other hand, is in my opinion, a great defensive handgun that is best in a 4 inch or shorter barrel length, and chambered for .357 Magnum. For me, the K frame strikes that perfect balance between being large enough to handle well and soak up recoil, while being compact/light enough for everyday carry. I don't believe anyone has made a definitively "better" defensive handgun than a medium frame 6 shot .357 Magnum.
