This gun has always intrigued me. Now that they are in production again I am debating ordering one.

Has anyone had any experience with this gun-good, bag or ugly?

I'd be interested to hear about it.

Thank you.

My freind had two of the original ones. Full size, not Cadets. Ive shot one of them a few times and it was a great gun. I was just looking at it the other day and and he showed me where the ejector fell out and got lost. It looks like it stakes into the top of the frame, noticable when the gun's dismantled. Also, he had a box of .357 that was useless to him because they wouldn't feed in his guns and he doesn't have another .357. I don't know what type bullet it was but it has to be a consideration when shooting a Coonan.
They have a noticible reach longer than a 1911 but no big deal to my average hands. They are fine pieces.

I had a chance to shoot one of the Cadet versions years ago. I shot it using 125gr. JHP rounds - the premier fight-stopper round at that time. It shot great, but my right wrist was injured and surgically repaired years ago. One of the unfortunate side effects is that the wrist will unpredictably unlock under stress. As a result, I had a few misfires due to the "limp-wristing". As I recall, it was an accurate gun, and lots of fun to shoot.

Regards,

Dave
