Hello all.

I'm looking to get myself a 15-22 as my first rifle in the UK. But as part of our licencing process we need to have the rifles secured in a safe/cabinet... So I'm measuring up.

That in mind, would someone be kind enough to measure their rifle for me?

I need overall length (with moderator, if possible... Although it really doesnt matter) and also the height of the rifle, with a scope/sight in place, minus the mag... So from the base of pistol grip to the top of the scope. measured in mm preferably, but inches is fine.

The real question is... Will it fit inside a 1300mm x 250mm envelope? (with a scope attached... I know scopes vary, but a guestimation is all I need... I can store it tilted to gain more space, but I need to account for that).

Thanks in advance. :)

Yeah, thanks for that Eames. I found that just after I posted, but it doesnt have "including moderator" but more importantly... It doesnt list the height of the gun... :)

If space is a problem, you can always store it in two pieces since it comes apart so easily.

Anyway, here is what I measured on my rifle (shown below) . . . .

Length (stock collapsed): 807mm
Length (stock fully extended): 883mm
Height (with optical sight, no magazine): 286mm
Height (with carry handle sight only, no magazine): 235mm
Length of Upper: 610mm
Length of Lower (stock fully extended): 467mm

The above rifle will fit into your enclosure if split into two pieces. Your situation may vary.
