A real beauty...details??? how long have you had it...history

Thanks,

I picked this one up yesterday. I purchased it from a local police officer who happened to be selling off his grandfathers gun collection. This was the last one he had left. My gun instructor had purchased one of the guns and tipped me off to this one....Thank you Fred! It's a model 19-2 with a 4" barrel and was manufactured in 1965. It was new in the box and never fired. I really wanted a model 66, but after seeing this one I couldn't resist. These things are like potato chips...It's tough to have just one....LOL.

Does anyone know if the wide/grooved trigger, and the wide thumb piece on the hammer is typical. Also while researching the 19-2 here, I did not see any 19-2's with sights like mine has...red front sight and white outline rear sight. I would have posted more pics but these blue guns are difficult to photograph without glare (with the flash) and come out very dark without the flash.

That is a beautiful Model 19-2. Congratulations on your find especially unfired in the box. I guess the next question is, will it remain unfired?
