In the past 6 weeks I have sold on Craigs List:

  • PW 12 ga. reloader
  • 3,000 pieces of 9mm once fired brass.
  • 50 lbs. shot.
  • Scope
At the same time as I posted the PW reloader I also listed a MEC. I never got any responses on the MEC. I checked and it had been flagged and deleted. I posted it again and had the same problem. I read their Terms of Use and it does not seem to be prohibited. (The shot and brass may be) I bought it on CL and in the past three years have bought and sold 4-5 shotshell reloaders on CL with out any problems. Are there CL "Nannies" who just flag any gun related item they recognize? Can one "flag" do it?

Thanks,

Jeff

A while back I posted that I wanted to buy a used small pickup.
My post never lasted over an hour or two.
Apparently the used car community didn't want me to buy a truck from a non dealer.
My guess would be the anti gun folks recognized one of your brand names but not the other.

Yes, there lots of C.L Nannies who can and do "flag" posts. CL refuses to disclose the number of complaints it takes to delete a post.

10 years ago, CL was a fun place, but not so much any more. It's become a play ground for hate mongers, con artists, hookers, and assorted other un-desirables. I no longer use it.

On Craigslist, Terms of Use don't matter. Anyone can flag anything for any reason, and it will be deleted. I have no idea how many flags it takes to get something deleted, but I suspect that it's not many.

If you still want to see Craigslist as a fun place, check out the personal ads on there in Las Vegas.;):D

Thanks,

I just sold a pistol on Armslist this past weekend and it was a good transaction. I had not considered them for the press but I'll post it there now. I like(ed) CL for smaller FTF transactions so I didn't have to ship an item.

Yep. had the same experience selling same stuff. Some folks are appointed guard dogs. Some how I got him a message, don't remember now. It is legal, leave it alone. If not I will flag every thing he does. Never bugged me again.

I hate it when folks are sitting at home with an electronic leg band on and have nothing else to do.
