An update on the earlier query as to how best to build an outhouse.
I listened to you and forgot about the 55 gal. Drum.
I dug a hole to 5.5/6 foot and 3 or 4 foot long.
Straddled that with 2 creosoted railroad ties 4 ft. long each.
I tied them together with 4 ft. 2x6 pt with 1/2" ply on top for the floor.
Then the rains hit and shut us down.
I'm happy with the foundation. It's heavy duty, level and ready for walls and roof.
(A carpenter friend I bribed with beer and burgers)
