I am looking for a new wallet that will hold all the credit/ID/membership
cards I seem to accumulate along with some money. The bifold I have I mostly like, but when card slots are full the wallet is very thick.
This is because all the cc slots are the same direction so the wallet is thick on the top and smaller on the bottom.
I wonder if there is one out there that has slots that are opposite on the
sides. like two wedges fit together to make a flat.
anyone know where I can get one like that?
thanks for your time

Doctors will recommend that you not keep a wallet in your hip pocket because over time it will cause you to develop back pain that may not ever go away. They make a stainless-steel double money clip thing that holds ID/credit cards on one side and cash on the other side that you can keep in your front pocket that I have thought about using. The problem is, I am always keeping receipts or phone numbers or something in my wallet so it gets thick and stays in my hip pocket.

Maybe you should look at your wallet and see if you need everything. I went down from tri fold to just a one pocket thing from saddleback leather. I keep 5 carda in it with $20. Thats all you truly need.

Keep your money in your pocket...

I keep my ID in my wallet with minimum credit/debit cards + plus some currency (no more than five bills, different denominations. The idea is to keep the size down. I keep my money (wad of bills) in my front pocket. Sometimes, if I'm local, just the folded bills with my DL and CPL stuck in the fold - no wallet. That leaves my back pocket to slip my iPhone into. If I'm driving, my wallet goes with me, but generally in the glove box or vault. I've seen the size of wallets that guys with back problems carry - some purses are thinner.
Like the man says: Pack light, cinch tight...

I agree that less is best, but not always possible.
new health ins. has a prescription card, a group ID card, a dental card,
and a vision card, all have been asked for by providers in the last year.
After my recent heart problems, I gained a card for my stent, and two for
my pacemaker. SWCA card, sams and costco , d/l , hunting license,
(lifetime card) and a cc. these are just the ones I can think of right now.
So I need high capacity. but when these cards are stacked they get thicker
at the top of the wallet. I am looking for a wallet that has the cards
stacked from top to bottom on the left side, and bottom to top on the
right side. So far I havent found one like that. I know, one side would
always be upside down, but most slots are tight enough to hold them,
even upside down.

You dont need those cards all the time just swap out as necessary

Why carry more than one card. I carry on that gives the most cash back and use it for everything. Of course the key to this is paying the balance down to zero every month. Who doesn't like free money.
One credit card, a license, car registration, Firearms ID and a little cash and I'm good.

I have been going through therapy for a car wreck back in Feb. And that is the first thing they told me to get rid of was my wallet. Said to keep numbers in your phone, and just carry a clip.

After years of driving my entire shift sitting on my wallet i developed sciatica. A pain that is brutal, shooting down from your butt down to your ankle. At one point, i missed about 3 weeks of work because of the pain... Once i changed to carrying my wallet in my front pocket and my cash in a money holder in the other, i was pain free from there forward...I bought a 'skinny wallet' on line, nice leather, slimer than most. I try to keep my credit, insurance, prescription, license and photos down to about six.. Phone numbers are in my phone where they belong...

When I dive I'll keep a vinyl business card holder with I.D. and a $20.
Add a debit / credit card and I'm good almost anywhere.
I still carry a wallet in my left rear, just try to keep the contents thinned out. Feel undressed without.

Have a look at Saddleback Leather. From what I've read, the large bifold holds a lot of cards and since they are not stacked, it stays as thin as possible. It is large though. Beware the medium bifold. The card slots stack 'em up so the wallet gets thick fast. Check out the front pocket ID wallet and the business/credit card wallet. They just might be what you're after.

Guys that still carry wallets in their back pockets should not frequent places where pick pockets ply their trade.

I have a leather front pocket wallet w/attached money clip.

Holds all my current ID's w/room enough for 5 extra cards.

It's not slotted, just larger than a credit card.

Probably 25 years old, too.

Not too long ago, my wallet was stolen (not a pickpocket, but perhaps a story for another day). It was pretty clapped out anyway, so a replacement was welcome. At Target, I found a Swiss Army wallet. It's pretty small, a trifold (well two folds, three sections), and so far holds everything I need it to without getting fat. That could change if I ever replace all the stuff I lost, but I seem to be getting on okay without it.

Anyway, all leather, pretty good quality, pebbled finish, made in (not Switzerland, but) India. Maybe the guy who made it knows one or more of the guys who run me around for a couple of hours on the phone every time my internet goes down. $20.
