Note to anyone that encounters a purchase with the use of SQUARE credit card transactions. I guess they are being used at gun shows and the companies didn't like that just my thoughts.
received this today from Manny Dela Cruz form Gun Auction.
ATTENTION SQUARE CUSTOMERS: As of 5/9/13 Square has changed their underwriting policy to restrict the card present swiped sale of "firearms, firearms parts or hardware, and ammunition; or weapons and other devices designed to cause physical injury."
Here are other companies that don't accept firearm purchase.
PayAnywhere, as a prohibition was not apparent on their posted terms and conditions. Using their website chat function, they were asked "Does PayAnywhere allow or prohibit firearms sales with its reader?" and a representative with the screen name Quanita responded "Yes we do prohibit firearm sales on the PayAnywhere accounts."
Molpay prohibits Firearms / weapons Ammunition I confirmed this.
It also appears Intuit wants nothing to do with the firearms business.
Comcast disallowed firearms-related advertising, even though its franchise agreements for rights of way are required to serve the public interest
I know paypal will accept some firearm related purchases but not mags and firearms not sure what else. Comfirmed by me.
What other companies do you know of. I know it's hard but I could not deal with them, for local sales layaway or cash but cards are convenient for online sales as you have some protection.
I have heard Bank of America , doesn't accept some firearm, firearm related sales but I found this online earlier today.
