I didn't watch last week's episode, but tonight's CM was terrible. Horribly implausible plot, most amateurish performances I have seen. It's really gone sour. The season's over for me.

I can't say here what my core complaint is with CM. Maybe I can say that some aspects of PC are too evident in the show.

I didn't like the guy who played Morgan and was looking forward to the first season without him. Then, they fired Thomas Gibson, who played Agent Hotchner, the only really plausible FBI agent, among the men, anyway. And I've seen who they mean to replace him with. They also added Adam Rodriguez, I think, another guy not among my favorite actors.

I don't like their casting director. I'm still angry that they dumped Rachel Nichols (Agent Ashley Seaver) after one season. They've played too freely with keeping Paget Brewster, who is now back again. Paget is the overwhelming favorite actress among women fans, reflected in fan fiction about the show. Agent Emily Prentiss...

This is the 12th Season. I think it may be the last. And the show deserves that. They've had excellent actors but been too cavalier with them and concentrated too much on liberal goals.

I'll watch another episode or two to see how they explain Hotchner's loss, then quit.
They try to be shocking and gory, but lack Thomas Harris's talent for that.

I bailed when Marg Helgenberger made her thinly veiled threat against gun owners on Twitter.

I know who you mean, but missed the bit from Twitter. What'd she say?i

Just typical Hollywood anti-gun rhetoric? Did she make a specific threat?

That show has been horrible from the 1st episode . Notice how on all/most of the cop shows, there is always some hot chick detective that is always smarter than everybody else, and there's always a woman in charge, (usually black, for the last 5 or so years) and they are always threatening the old cop with discipline.

As per the correction, that was CSI.

As I recall, she said words to the effect that she'd like to shoot gun owners. I got a Twitter account just to tell her to give it a try. I might even has said, "I'm your huckleberry." I don't think I've used it three times since then.

The show--at least the episodes I have watched--all follow a pattern: a series of outlandishly gory murders, local cops stumped, or just too undermanned or backward-thinking to have any chance at all of figuring it out, and then in swoops Hotch and the gang in the Gulfstream to save the day. The not-so-veiled suggestion is that when it comes to the really heavy lifting, local law enforcement is lost without the federal government. Oh, and at the end of each show, if the "team" are all headed home to DC after catching or shooting the bad guy, how come the Gulfstream always seems to be flying into the sunset?

Never watched an entire episode all the way through. I can't stand their incessant use of the term "unsub". It's their mantra. I swear, of the 15 or so uninterrupted minutes that I've watched, they uttered the term a dozen or more times! Maddening.

Plus, their "tech" chick...annoying as fingernails on a chalkboard. Unwatchable, in all respects. Can't believe it survived past the first season.

That show jumped the shark years ago. Any time one of the lead team on any show gets captured and buried alive, it's over.

Never could get into the show.

Real FBI types must cringe if not retch at the portrayal of profilers.

From what little I saw, Thomas Gibson was very good at looking grim and tortured. Period.

The latest episode involved some young guy who was kidnapping young mothers, drilling holes through their skulls (with a power drill), and injecting "Chlorine" to turn them into zombies or something like zombies. No explanation on how one injects Chlorine into a brain. Then he stuffed the bodies into a 55 gallon drum and filled the drums with concrete, then took the drums to some dumpsite. On top of it, he mixed the concrete himself. No explanation as to just how one guy could have done that. What would a drum full of concrete weigh? Maybe 1000 pounds or so? So I guess the murderer is as strong as the Incredible Hulk. Turned out all this was the result of the murderer wanting to have sex with his mother. They have also added a new character, a minority Special Agent (I guess) who was also a former Army Ranger. Not sure what purpose he fulfills other than demonstrating political correctness. But he was flirting a little with Prentiss. Prentiss is indeed back, but I am not sure in what capacity, seems to be as a temporary fill-in for Hotchner because Hotch is off on some secret "special assignment." I thought Prentiss was supposed to be working for Interpol, but all references to her in the show said she was still a Special Agent for the FBI. Can you be both? Evidently so. Anyway, this mess pushed me over the edge. No more Criminal Minds for me.

Spit the hook on CM a while back. I'd rather watch Hill Street Blues reruns on the nostalgia channel.

This hasn't been the best season for the show, so far. But I'll keep watching until it's canceled because there are shows out there in that time slot that are even worse. A new agent is supposed to come aboard on the 8th show from what I've read. But it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't make it through the season or if this was its last season.

I started watching the show because I have a friend whose daughter is on the production staff. I slowly lost interest through the years and decided not to watch this season as Gibson was gone and Prentiss was returning. A double whammy.

The only thing that kept me going was wondering what new way Spencer would wear his sidearm.

I used to really like this show in the earlier seasons, but it has been going downhill for a while.
