Hey eveyone I just got my new crossbreed supertuck in the mail the other day and love it, and was wondering what is a good leather conditioner to use on it??
I use leather balm on mine. Scout is the brand I have, but there are others, and they're all pretty similar. It cleans and adds moisture to the leather, but it isn't oily.
Any good boot, saddle or western shop should have it, or you can get it online. Here's a link to Amazon. I've used the Meltonian in the past also.
I use the same holster everyday for my m&p9c but ive never used a conditioner on it. after a few weeks it broke in so nicely that it fits like a custom made glove on the rear half of my hip. leather used seems to conform rather easily and quickly so you may not need it.
I don't know if the inquiry is about general care or as a result of a problem. I recently got my first Supertuck and the thing squeaks like crazy even after weeks of wearing it for 8+ hours a day and walking for many miles a week. (The metal clips rub up against the leather.) I wrote the company about the issue and was advised to use Neetsfoot oil on the inside of the rig if the holster is horsehide or Kiwi Leather Lotion if its cowhide. (Another suggested alternative was to use some felt between the clip and the holster.)
