CS-1 question

I was looking at a CS-1, 3 inch revolver today, and I noticed something that I had never noticed before.
On the frame where the CS-1 is stamped, it has a 2 M, which I think is standard for the recall.
The serial is Xxxxx. There is also a large S turned sideways stamped there also. It is also on the butt of the revolver.
Does that seem correct?
Any information would be appreciated.

The 2M guns had the recall bushing & firing pin from the factory before they shipped..
The S is for Stainless..
The CS-1s were U.S. Customs Service revolvers & had a matte finish, round butt frame & undercutt front sights & were fitted factory with Pachmayr grips with no logo with a window at the bottom for viewing the serial #..
I had a 3" a sold it to pay a $800 vet bill..
If I had to do it all again I would still have sold it, My Little Buddy Mr. Duncun is worth more than any gun in the world..

HEADKNOCKER - Thanks for that information. I never really noticed the big S stamped on a L frame before.
I know what you mean about your pet, you have to do what has to be done.
