CS-1 years of manufacture

I have a CS-1 3 inch. The box end label Spec. Ord. is 8007. Is this 1988 or 1998 on the 7th day? Also does anyone know when these were made?

1988, for the US Customs department. I would absolutely love to find one of those, that's probably my favorite L-frame. Post up some pics if you can!
