CS9 vs CS45 Problem

Get a left handed holster and carry both at the same time. Problem solved.

I did this mod because of two reasons.Being a double action revolver shooter for the past 15+ years it is very comfortable to me to have my semi-auto set up the same way with the trigger consistent between shots. The more pressing reason came a few weeks after I bought it.One day I inadvertently had my CS9 in single action, locked and loaded with the safety off.Now there is no decocker /safety and the only safety is me.Also all my shots are right on the money,no more pulling the first shot in the transition from Double to Single action.Try as I may I couldn't wrap myself around not pulling that first shot in single action....God Bless.......Mike

That IS an interesting mod, Cruiser. To be honest, I LIKE the DA/SA on my Model 908, though. But I can imagine there are some advantages to your set-up.

Nice country in the pictures. Although I still get deer, coyote and the occasional bobcat & fox through our back yard (one of the last remaining non-fenced 1 acre properties in our area which backs up to the foothills), we're considering finding a retirement home with some acreage around it.

The DAO conversion done to newer S&W pistols doesn't stage (or 'locate', in S&W terms) the hammer as far rearward (via the sear nose) when the pistol is charged as the models using the original machined DAO Hammers, sears & triggers. Not being as far back when the hammer is staged means the MIM DAO hammers(and sears & triggers) could be used in TSW pistols (and others, of course) for potential customers that decided to switch from TDA to DAO. The trigger stroke was longer and a bit heavier than in the older DAO models, but it made for a good compromise in the respect you no longer needed a separate frame and slide dedicated to DAO. This is really overly simplified, and there are some other things involved, but you get the point.

I think one of the things I like the most about living here in the country is I can get out at night encouraging my Australian shepherd, (Buddy) to take a constitutional and I can see the stars and it is absolutely quiet. I have no "nightlights" on purpose, but my MIL has one about 3 acres N. of our place, and our Aunt has one about 1/2 acre away South of our property. This offers me enough light to allow me to wander around the yard helping me not walk headlong into pine trees, but the further E. I walk the darker it gets, then the stars really are neat.

Jesse

P.S. I have an unwritten understanding with myself that the first time I step on a snake I'm knocking that wandering around the place at night off..
