Hello everyone......my first post so bare with me. I have for the first time in my life purchased a handgun and I feel really good about it. I guess I just thought I needed to have one but the way things are today it does pay to. Do any of u out there know anything about the S&W CS9 that i bought? I researched and looked at so many guns my head was spinning but as I went by this particular piece it seemed to call out to me. It feels really awesome and as of yet I have not fired it. I am waiting to go to a CCW class soon.

You picked a fine ccw pistol. It should be very reliable and small enough to pack easily when you get your permit. Pick up a few spare mags and start shooting when ever you can. Look for a quality holster and belt and you are ready to go with the training. Keep in mind a good belt is as important as the holster for comfortable concealed carry.

Look for training schools in your area. The NRA usually has very good basic pistol and personal protection classes. Possessing a fire arm is an awesome responsibility and it is a very good idea to learn as much as you can about secure storage and the laws pertaining to self defense. Welcome to the board and be safe.

Your CS9 will serve you forever! Buy as much ammo as you can afford and shoot it as often as you can and the rewards will amaze you! I agree that you need to get a good quality holster and belt as well as a number of extra magazines and a mag pouch. Enjoy it and Congratulations on an fine companion!
